The adapter makes it possible for the excellent price/capacity ratio SD/SDHC/SDXC UHS-I memory cards to be used as recording media for XDCAM® Ex camcorders and, in addition, supports UHS-I memory cards.

Unlike similar adapters, a key advantage of the Maxell's SDHC/SDXC UHS-I to ExpressCard Adapter is that it also works with memory cards above 32GB; namely, it supports SDXC cards up to 2TB so crews do not have to worry about running out of storage space during long shoots.
